Papel Picado How to

Start with your materials.

Decide which side of the template you want to use. Cut the tissue paper about the size of your template. Feel free to use as much or little sheets of tissue paper. We used 1 of each color. 

Next fold your template in half and all your tissue paper and stuff the tissue paper inside of the template. 

Add a piece of tape to secure everything while cutting. 

Start cutting out the shapes. To get the inner shapes, fold it over to where you need to start the cut. Feel free to cut out all the shapes, or just some of them (some may be harder to cut.)

Lastly, cut out the template outline!

You're all done! Feel free to hang your papel picado with string, or tape or whatever you have!
